常识	瞿昙寺
释义	瞿昙寺明代古寺。在青海乐都城南约20公里处。明洪武二十六年（1393），朱元璋因本院住持三罗喇嘛归附明朝，特赐寺额为“瞿昙”，因而得名。永乐十年（1412）扩建。清代又修葺多次。为汉式宫殿群组建筑。院落三层，有金刚、瞿昙、宝光、隆国四重殿宇。左右侧有碑亭、壁画廊及大小钟鼓楼等。壁画廊共五十一间，以巨幅彩色连环画形式介绍释迦牟尼一生故事。寺内保存有以汉藏两种文字记载本院历史的石碑及其他珍贵文物。现为全国重点文物保护单位。
